From asphalt to pothole repair, your pavement install and maintenance is an integral part of your property.

Here at Swan Company, we are aware of this and respect your time, assets, and money. We do this by using the newest technology combined with time tested methods and practices to give you the highest quality fresh pavement install, AKA “Paving,” for the best price and the most extended life out of your existing pavement. When it comes to Asphalt Pavement and Pothole Repair there are a couple of ways that our methods and practices are superior:

Subgrading

1. When considering a new pave job, we make sure that we can perform the job in a workmanlike manner by testing the compaction of the subgrade. At times, we recommend  installing or repairing the existing subgrade so that it will be able to support the pavement properly for many years to come. Many contractors don’t appreciate the importance of this step, or they feel that if they propose the added expense to the customer, they won’t get the job. We would rather not do the job then have our name on a bad job!

Paving

Now comes the fun part, THE PAVE DAY! This is our time to shine. Our relationship with the asphalt plants help us obtain hot and ready asphalt first thing in the morning as well as securing aggregate with less than 10% reclaimed or recycled material. As our passionate and highly skilled operators, rakers, and laborers do their job, they know that the final product is a direct reflection on the quality of work that Swan Company delivers. With this in mind, they make sure that no corners are cut, and every ‘best-practice’ is used. Finally, we compact the HOT pavement with a 10-ton roller that is directly following the paving machine to ensure FULL compaction EVERY time. TRUST Swan Co. to give you the best asphalt pavement product from paving to potholes.

Pothole repair

2. Pothole repair – we saw-cut approximately  25% larger of an area than the pothole itself to ensure we are installing new asphalt to the healthy uncompromised pavement. Then, we compact the existing subgrade, AKA “the backbone of your pavement,” and add more subgrade aggregate if needed. Finally, we apply tack coat to the saw cuts and the base layer of asphalt if applicable, and then install hot mixed asphalt which is properly compacted to provide the most extendable life possible. TRUST Swan Co. to give you the best asphalt pavement product from paving to potholes.
